New details have emerged about the case of Lawrence Baker, a 68-year-old man who died after being found unconscious at Guilfoil's Irish Pub in Syracuse. According to Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick, Baker was involved in a physical altercation with a woman at the bar before he was discovered unconscious. The incident occurred early Saturday morning (May 31), and Baker was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The woman involved in the altercation is considered a person of interest, but no arrests have been made yet. A video obtained by Syracuse.com reportedly shows the woman yelling at Baker and pushing him off a bar stool. Authorities are currently waiting for the final autopsy results, which will include an evaluation of Baker's brain and spine, to determine the cause of death.

The Syracuse Police Department is conducting a death investigation and has asked anyone with information to come forward. An update will be provided once the autopsy results are available, as stated by Sgt. Thomas Blake, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Police Department.
