Syracuse PD Identifies Man Found Unconscious Outside Bar

The Syracuse Police Department has identified the man found unconscious outside a bar on Saturday (May 31) as 66-year-old Lawrence Baker. Officers responded to a call at Guilfoil's Irish Pub on Burnet Avenue around 12:34 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Baker unresponsive and receiving emergency medical care from EMS personnel. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The incident is currently being treated as a death investigation. According to Sgt. Thomas Blake, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Police Department, the cause of Baker's death is still unknown, pending the results of an autopsy. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not yet released details about what may have led to Baker's condition. The community is encouraged to assist in the investigation by providing any relevant information to the police.
