Man Stabbed in Chest on South Geddes Street, Syracuse

A 29-year-old man is recovering after being stabbed in the chest on Sunday morning (June 1) in Syracuse. The incident occurred on the 1200 block of South Geddes Street in the Skunk City neighborhood. Syracuse police responded to the call just before 9 a.m. and found the injured man, who was immediately transported to Upstate University Hospital. He is currently in stable condition and expected to survive.

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing. According to Sgt. Thomas Blake, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Police Department, a motor vehicle collision on Hartson Street and South Geddes is believed to be connected to the incident. A man related to the stabbing is currently in police custody. The investigation remains active, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.

Syracuse.com and CNY Central report that no arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is ongoing. Police are actively seeking information from the public to aid in solving the case.
