Syracuse Police Investigate Park Street Shooting

Syracuse police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday (May 28) on the city's North Side. A 40-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the abdomen near 1012 Park Street, across from the Stop and Shop Market. The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he is in stable condition, according to Syracuse.com.

Officers responded to the scene around 2:12 p.m., closing off Park Street from Mary Street to East Division Street. Evidence was collected from the scene, including a Doge minivan with personal items and blood visible on the ground nearby. The police have not yet released the name of the victim or any information about a potential suspect.

The Syracuse Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact their criminal investigations division at (315) 442-5222. As the investigation continues, authorities are working to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
