Three candidates in the race for Syracuse's mayoral seat will participate in a public forum on Thursday (May 29). The event, hosted by Central Current, will feature Democratic candidates Chol Majok, Pat Hogan, and Deputy Mayor Sharon Owens. It is scheduled to take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Everson Museum's Hosmer Auditorium and is free for the public to attend.

The forum provides an opportunity for voters to hear directly from the candidates as they prepare for the Democratic primary election on June 24. Audience members will have the chance to submit questions for the candidates, allowing for an interactive experience. According to Central Current, the forum is part of their ongoing 'Current Conversations' series, which aims to engage the local community with important issues and candidates.

The event is open to all, but attendees are encouraged to reserve their seats in advance by visiting centralcurrent.org. Incumbent Mayor Ben Walsh is unable to run for re-election due to term limits, making this a pivotal election for the city.
