Residents of the Village of Pulaski are once again under a boil water order, marking the second occurrence this month. The Oswego County Health Department issued the order following a break in water service at the Sunoco gas station on Maple Ave. Extension, which caused a drop in water pressure throughout the village on Wednesday (May 28). The Village of Pulaski Department of Public Works is actively working to repair the issue and restore normal service.
According to Oswego County officials, the boil water order is expected to remain in effect until at least Friday (May 30), pending confirmation that there is no contamination in the water system. Residents are advised to bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute and cool it before using it for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Alternatively, bottled water certified by the New York State Department of Health can be used.
While a temporary repair has been completed, a permanent solution is scheduled for Thursday (May 29). Residents should expect low water pressure during this time. The Oswego County Health Department will notify residents when the boil water order is lifted. For further information, residents can contact Pulaski Village Mayor Jan Tighe at 315-298-6637 or the Oswego County Health Department at 315-349-3557.
