Investigations are currently underway into two separate fatal motorcycle crashes that occurred in the region. The first incident took place on Sunday (May 25) in the village of Parish, Oswego County. According to New York State Police, 54-year-old William Weaver was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson on North Railroad Street when he failed to negotiate a curve. Weaver's motorcycle left the roadway, striking a building and then a utility pole. He was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The investigation into this crash is ongoing.
Later that day, another fatal crash occurred on Nottingham Road in DeWitt. In this incident, a motorcyclist collided with a car. The motorcyclist died as a result of the crash. As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the DeWitt accident.
Both crashes remain under investigation as authorities work to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding these tragic events.
