An investigation is ongoing after a pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck in Baldwinsville on Monday (May 19). The incident occurred around 5:10 p.m. on East Genesee Street near a Dunkin Donuts location. According to Syracuse.com, the woman was pinned beneath the vehicle and was unconscious when first responders arrived.
Baldwinsville firefighters managed to lift the truck manually to free the woman, who was then transported to Upstate University Hospital. Her current condition remains unknown. The New York State Police closed the road at Lock Street and East Genesee Street while they conducted their investigation, reopening it by 9:30 p.m.
The police are urging anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward with information. Further updates will be provided as more details emerge.
