The annual Battle of the Wings kicks off today at the Syracuse Inner Harbor, running from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and continues tomorrow from noon to 10 p.m. This popular event, now in its sixth year, features over a dozen local restaurants competing for the title of best wings in Syracuse.
Attendees can enjoy wings from 15 local bars, including Ale ‘n Angus, Angry Garlic, and Change of Pace, with each vendor selling two wings for $3. In addition to the delicious food, the event offers live music, local breweries, and food trucks, ensuring a fun-filled experience for all.
The entry fee is $10, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation. Judges, including Jim and Juli Boeheim, City Court Judge James Cecile, and syracuse.com food writer Charlie Miller, will award gold, silver, and bronze medals to the top contenders. The public can also vote for their favorites.
The Battle of the Wings is part of a series of summer events at the Inner Harbor, as noted by OMF Events, with proceeds supporting local nonprofits.
