The acclaimed Broadway musical "Hamilton" is set to return to Syracuse this fall. The Tony Award-winning production will be performed at the Landmark Theatre from September 9 through September 21. Currently, tickets are available exclusively to the theatre's Season Subscribers, with public sales to follow at a later date.
"Hamilton" tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of America's Founding Fathers, through a blend of hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and traditional Broadway music. The musical, which has had a significant impact on culture, politics, and education, features book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. It is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision by Alex Lacamoire.
According to WSYR-TV, Leslie Odom Jr., who originally played Aaron Burr on Broadway, will reprise his role for the upcoming Broadway leg from September 9 through November 23, though he will not be part of the touring cast in Syracuse.
The Landmark Theatre, a historic venue in downtown Syracuse, continues to host a variety of performances, supported by community donations. The theatre offers an exclusive membership program with various perks, including early access to tickets.
