A teacher from the DeRuyter Central School District has been arrested for grand larceny. According to the Madison County Sheriff's Office, 37-year-old Anna Revette is accused of submitting false time sheets, resulting in payments for hours she did not work. Revette, who resides in Lincklaen, allegedly received an extra $1,000 through these falsified timecards.

The authorities were alerted to the situation on March 14, and Revette was taken into custody exactly one month later, on April 14. She faces charges of fourth-degree grand larceny and first-degree falsifying business records. Following her arrest, Revette was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the DeRuyter Town Court on April 23.

According to Samantha Field, a spokesperson for Madison County, the investigation began after school district officials reported the discrepancies. Revette's LinkedIn profile lists her as an English teacher at the school.

CNYCentral reports that the arrest followed a thorough investigation by the sheriff's office. The case highlights the importance of accurate record-keeping and the consequences of falsifying business records.
