Man Wanted for Manlius Shooting Surrenders to Police

The man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Manlius has turned himself in to authorities. Radu Turner, 48, surrendered on Saturday (April 12), ending a six-day search following the death of his nephew, Kenquan Davis. The incident occurred on Sunday (April 6) when a verbal altercation between Turner and Davis escalated outside Turner's home on Elmbrook Drive. As Davis attempted to drive away, he was shot, causing him to crash into a tree on Garrett Drive. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, where he later died from his injuries.

Turner is charged with second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is currently being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center awaiting arraignment. According to Syracuse.com, Turner has a criminal history, including previous convictions for drug and weapon charges.

The Manlius Police Department, with assistance from the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Marshals, and the FBI, conducted the search for Turner. LocalSyr.com reports that the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Manlius Police Department through their confidential TIPS line.

Davis, the victim, was 39 years old and owned a lawn care business while also working for Catholic Charities. The community is mourning his loss as the investigation continues. CNY Central noted that the incident has not posed any ongoing threat to the community.
