The Syracuse University football team is gearing up for its annual spring game, which will now take place at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday (April 12). Originally planned for the SU Soccer Stadium, the game was relocated due to the postponement of a Billy Joel concert that was scheduled for Friday (April 11). The concert has been rescheduled to April 10, 2026, due to Joel's recovery from surgery, as reported by Spectrum Local News.
The spring game, which is an intra-squad scrimmage, will kick off at 3 p.m. and will not be televised. CNY Central notes that this decision was made in consultation with the ACC Network, opting instead for a one-hour, all-access show in the preseason.
Prior to the game, fans can enjoy a Block Party Tailgate and a team meet-and-greet on the Syracuse University Quad. Syracuse.com highlights that spring practice for the team will begin next week, as they prepare for the upcoming season, which starts on August 30 against Tennessee.
