Motorists in Central New York are experiencing a slight increase in gas prices. According to AAA, the average cost for a gallon of regular fuel in the region is now $3.10. This marks a one-cent rise from last week but remains three cents lower than the average price a month ago.

The state average for New York currently stands at $3.14, slightly below the national average of $3.26. The national price increase is attributed to factors such as refinery maintenance and the transition to summer-blend gasoline, as reported by AAA Newsroom.

While the national average has seen a more significant increase of over 10 cents in the past week, Central New York's prices remain relatively stable compared to previous months. The latest figures reflect typical seasonal shifts, though they are still below the prices seen at this time last year.
