Syracuse police have identified the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run incident over the weekend as 56-year-old Galdino Moran. The tragic event occurred on Sunday night (March 23) around 10:23 p.m. in the area of Griffiths Street and Butternut Street. Moran was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Syracuse.com.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident as a deadly hit-and-run. The vehicle involved fled the scene, and no further information about the car has been released. Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact the Syracuse Police Traffic Division at (315) 442-5130.
