Suspect Arrested After Salina Stabbing Incident

Onondaga County sheriff's deputies have arrested an 18-year-old suspect following a stabbing incident in Salina. The incident occurred early Sunday morning (March 9) on Leonard Street, where deputies found a man in his 20s with cuts to his back. He was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover from his non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, identified as Isiah Dean from North Syracuse, was apprehended at an apartment complex on Bear Road around 7:30 a.m. He faces several charges, including assault, menacing, and criminal mischief.

According to CNY Central, deputies responded promptly to the scene after receiving a report of the stabbing. LocalSYR reported that Dean was taken into custody without incident. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released further details about the motive behind the attack.
