Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run in Verona, Oneida County

A tragic hit-and-run incident occurred on Monday night (March 3) in Verona, Oneida County, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim as 61-year-old Timothy D. Sullivan from Oneida. Sullivan was walking on Route 365, just east of Nicky Doodles, when he was struck by a vehicle at approximately 7:15 p.m.

The vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene and remains unidentified. The Sheriff's Office is actively seeking assistance from the public to locate the vehicle. They are asking anyone who was in the area between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and may have dash camera footage or noticed a vehicle with recent damage to contact the Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Unit at (315) 765-2767.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to help solve the case and bring justice for Sullivan's family.

According to CNY Central, the Sheriff's Office has yet to locate the vehicle involved. Newport Dispatch reported that the incident occurred as Sullivan was walking with traffic. Yahoo News also confirmed the details of the accident and the ongoing investigation.
