Syracuse Police Investigate Suspicious Death on Hartson Street

Syracuse police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found in a trash can on Thursday (February 27) in the 200 block of Hartson Street. The discovery was made around 12:30 p.m. by a 911 caller, prompting a large police presence in the area, including eight police cars and a crime scene van.

Officers have cordoned off the street with crime scene tape and set up a pop-up tent over the trash can where the body was found. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, and police have not confirmed any arrests in connection with the case.
