Syracuse police are investigating a shooting incident that left an 18-year-old man injured. The young man was dropped off at Upstate University Hospital on Monday (February 24) with a gunshot wound to his leg. According to the Syracuse.com, the Syracuse Police Department reports the shooting occurred on the 100 block of South Alvord Street. Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 9:44 p.m. on Saturday (February 22).
The victim is in stable condition and is expected to recover fully. However, the exact location of the shooting remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
This incident follows another shooting in January when a 17-year-old boy was shot in the foot. Police are still working to determine if there is any connection between the two cases.
