Syracuse Police Seek Suspect in Weekend Shooting

The Syracuse Police Department is actively searching for a suspect involved in a shooting that occurred on Saturday night (February 8) in Syracuse. A 23-year-old man was shot in the hand in the 600 block of East Division Street around 7:15 p.m. The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he received treatment for a non-life-threatening injury.

Authorities have not yet identified the suspect and are urging anyone with information to contact the Syracuse Police Department's criminal investigations division at (315) 442-5222. The police are working diligently to gather more details about the incident and ensure the safety of the community.

As the investigation continues, the police department is asking for the public's assistance to provide any leads that could help identify and apprehend the suspect.
