After a decade of serving customers, the Margaritaville restaurant at Destiny USA in Syracuse is closing. The restaurant, part of a chain founded by the late singer Jimmy Buffett, has been a staple at the mall. Although the exact closing date has not been announced, the decision to close was mutual between Margaritaville and Destiny USA, according to a news release from the mall.

Destiny USA is New York State's largest shopping, dining, and entertainment destination. The mall is undergoing several changes, including the end of some long-term leases like Margaritaville's. However, the mall is also planning exciting new additions. These include a $15 million remodel of Regal Cinemas, a 40,000-square-foot indoor pickleball facility, and a 14,000-square-foot virtual reality venue. New stores like JD Sports and a Charcoal Grill and Modern Buffet are also set to open soon.

Stephen Congel, CEO of Pyramid Management Group, which operates Destiny USA, stated that tenant changes are common in the industry. He emphasized that the mall continues to thrive and is optimistic about the future with the introduction of new tenants and enhancements to the tenant mix.
