Syracuse, N.Y. - The Syracuse Mets have been sold.
Diamond Baseball Holdings, an organization that owns 38 minor league baseball teams, has reached a deal with Cohen Private Ventures to buy the Syracuse team.
DBH says the team will remain the Triple-A affiliate of the Mets and the front office staff, including General Manager Jason Smorol will remains as well.
The sale is subject to the approval of Minor League Baseball and other standard closing conditions.
DBH also purchased the Mets' High-A affiliate, the Brooklyn Cyclones in the deal.
This comes after they bought the Binghamton Rumble Ponies back in April.
