Fire Displaces Four in Oswego

A fire in Oswego displaced four people early Saturday morning (December 7). The blaze occurred at a multi-family home located at 231 East Fifth Street. Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting from the roof. The Oswego Fire Department reported that the fire started around 1:53 a.m.

A downed power line in front of the residence complicated efforts to control the fire. Despite the challenges, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The fire damaged two apartments, leaving the residents temporarily without a home.

According to Syracuse.com, the displaced residents are receiving assistance as they recover from the incident.
