A memorial hockey game is set to take place this weekend in honor of Syracuse police officer Michael Jensen, who was tragically killed in the line of duty. The game, scheduled for Saturday at the War Memorial, will feature Jensen's colleagues and alumni from Le Moyne College.

Officer Jensen and Onondaga County Sheriff's Department Lieutenant Michael Hoosock were fatally shot in April while responding to a call in Salina. The assailant, Christopher Murphy, was also killed in the ensuing shootout.

The memorial game is an opportunity for the community to come together and remember Officer Jensen's service and sacrifice. The puck will drop at noon, and tickets are available at the door for five dollars. All proceeds from the game will go to Law Enforcement United, a charity that supports the families of officers who have died in the line of duty.

According to Syracuse.com, Officer Jensen's friend and fellow officer, Grant Prudhomme, is among those organizing the event.
