A resident of Central New York, 26-year-old Andrew Wilbur, has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography. Wilbur was found to have explicit videos involving children between the ages of eight and 14 on the online messaging platform, Discord. Further investigation led to the discovery of additional explicit photos and videos at Wilbur's residence.
According to the Auburn Pub, Wilbur pleaded guilty to possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony. In exchange for his guilty plea, Judge Thomas Leone promised a conditional sentence of one to three years in prison instead of the maximum 1 1/3 to four years. Wilbur's sentencing is scheduled for a later date.
Wilbur is currently being held without bail and is facing multiple charges related to the possession and distribution of child pornography.
