Syracuse Driver Rejects Plea Deal in Fatal Crash Case, Heads to Trial

Takisha Hordge, a 25-year-old Syracuse resident, is set to face trial after rejecting a plea deal on Thursday (November 21). Hordge is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana when she allegedly ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle, resulting in the death of a passenger in the other car.

The fatal incident occurred at approximately 2:21 a.m. on January 20 at the intersection of Catawba and North Salina streets in Syracuse. The victim, 59-year-old Gloria Hill, was a passenger in the car that Hordge's vehicle struck.

According to Syracuse.com, Hordge's trial is scheduled for March. If convicted, she could face a lengthy prison sentence.
