The Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse is set to bring back its popular Holiday Nights event this festive season. The event will take place on Fridays and Saturdays from December 6th through 21st, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Visitors can enjoy a festive after-hours stroll amid sparkling displays of holiday lights that transform the zoo into a winter wonderland. The event will also feature live performances of holiday music, roving entertainers, and animals on evening exhibit. To add to the holiday cheer, there will be fire pits, hot chocolate, s'mores, and a visit to Santa's workshop.
In the spirit of the season, the Friends' Zoo United campaign will donate $1 from every hot cocoa purchased at Holiday Nights to the United Way of Central New York. During Holiday Nights 2023, the zoo served 176 gallons of hot cocoa and donated $1,876. The zoo is excited to see the donations 2024 brings.
Tickets for the event are now available for purchase through the zoo's website. Advance sale ticket prices are $7 for members and $8 for general admission. On the day of the event, ticket prices will be $8 for members and $9 for general admission. Children under two years of age can enter for free.
