MICRON Announces They Will Establish Corporate Office In Downtown Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse will be the home of a new Corporate office, with a familiar name.

Micron has announced they will have establish corporate office at One Lincoln Center on West Fayette street in downtown Syracuse. The interior spaces will be designed and outfitted to fit Micron’s needs and Micron also has plans for a street-level space to serve as a community welcome and recruitment center, where Central New Yorkers can stop in to learn more about the company’s project in Clay.

Mayor Ben Walsh, in a statement said “I’m honored and excited to welcome Micron to downtown Syracuse. Having members of the Micron team downtown every day will add energy to the center of our city and be a point of pride for all of Syracuse and Onondaga County. The company’s decision reflects downtown Syracuse’s important role as the center of growth for our region and the many attractions that make it a great place to live, work and play."

Syracuse City Auditor Alexander Marion issued this statement

I’m thrilled to welcome Micron Technology into Downtown Syracuse. Investing in our dynamic, growing City center is an affirmation of their commitment to Central New York. It is also a reminder for us in local government that we must continue investing in what makes Downtown and the entire City of Syracuse desirable: improving our infrastructure, expanding housing options, and modernizing mass transit for all commuters."

The office renovations are being done by E. Smith Contractors, a local Black-owned construction business.

Other tenants in the18 story building include Chase Bank, environmental consulting firm Arcadis Syracuse, Bond, Schoeneck & King, and sandwich shop.
