Dewitt Police Trying To ID Motorcyclist In Critical Condition After Crash

UPDATE: DeWitt police now know the identity of the motorcyclist involved in the crash Monday night. They say its a 13 year old boy from East Syracuse. The boy is still listed in critical condition.

Dewitt, N.Y. - DeWitt Police are trying to find out the identity of a man critically injured in a crash last night:

Around 11 officers responded to intersection of Kirkville Rd. and Watertree Drive after reports that a red & black motorcycle speeding east bound slammed into an SUV making a left hand turn. The operator of the motorcycle was ejected and suffered traumatic injuries. Due to the force of the collision, the red SUV was spun around 180 degrees and the motorcycle subsequently caught on fire.

Police do not know the name of the motorcyclist and the motorcycle was not registered nor insured.

He's described as white, with dark hair, scraggly facial hair and thick eyebrows. He's about 5’8”, 145 lbs and appears to be in his late teens or early 20’s.
