Two Charged After Gun Goes Off Inside Brewerton Apt Narrowly Missing Two

Brewerton, N.Y. - A Cicero man has been arrested after firing off a gun inside a Brewerton Apartment narrowly missing 8-month-old and her mother.

Cicero Police were called to the Chalkstone Course apartments, June 24th for shots fired.

They learned that Brandi Anderson had a 12 gauge shotgun and didn't want it anymore and that Marc Salvetti was going to dispose of it.

He was unaware it was loaded and it went off with a slug going through the wall and through a window of an adjacent building hitting a couch where an eight-month-old infant and her mother were sitting.

The gun did have a trigger guard but it was not properly installed.

The two face the following charges.

Marc D. Salvetti 38 of Cicero, New York:

  • Two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A Misd
  • Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, a class A Misd.
  • Failure to safely store rifles, shotguns, and firearms in the first degree, a class A Misd.
  • Criminal Possession of a weapon in the 4th degree - Convicted Felon, a class A Misd.

Brandi L. Anderson of Brewerton, New York:

  • Failure to safely store rifles, shotguns and firearms in the 1st Degree, a class A Misd.
  • Endangering the Welfare of a child, a class A Misd.
