Home collapse led to the emergency rescue of ten individuals, confirmed Fire Chief Michael Monds. These victims were swiftly taken to the hospital for urgent care. Tragically, eight of the rescued are currently receiving advanced life support, while two are under basic life support treatment. Chief Monds also reported that there might be two more individuals trapped within the debris. Among those hospitalized are children, though the exact number and their ages remain unverified at this time. Preliminary information suggests the possibility of as many as twenty people being present in the house when the catastrophe occurred.
UPDATE: Syracuse firefighters have determined no one else was trapped inside the collapsed home on Carbon Street.
