Court Denies Columbus Monument Corp. Appeal, Syracuse Can Take Down Statue

Syracuse, N.Y. - A State Court says, the city of Syracuse can do what it wishes with Columbus Monument.

The Columbus Monument Corporation has been dealt another blow in the latest and most likely last effort to keep the Christopher Columbus monument right where it is in the city.

The Supreme Court Appellate Division has denied the groups motion to reargue the court's decision on whether or not the City has the right to remove the statue.

That means Mayor Ben Walsh and the city can move it and do what they want with the area.
