Preble Man Being Questioned On Hitting Woman And Her Dog With His Truck

Town of Georgetown, N.Y. - A Preble man is being questioned regarding the death of a woman and her dog after he allegedly struck and killed them.

Madison County Sheriff say just before noon Sunday they were called to Lebanon Road in the Town of Georgetown for reports of a woman and her dog hit by a pickup truck. The driver 26 year old Zachary Kays says he never say the two walking along the road, before he allegedly hit them. The 40year old woman Alessandra Kershaw and her dog were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. The Sheriff’s Department is requesting that any witnesses to the accident contact the investigations division at (315) 366-2311.
