Syracuse , N.Y. - NYSPCA is asking for the publics help in identifying a man who stopped at the shelter on East Malloy Road, around 3am Friday morning, April12th and left five cats, one that looks to be in poor health, outside the shelter's door in the rain.
“The good news is that the cats are at CNYSPCA, they are safe and are being checked over medically,” said Troy Waffner, Director of CNYSPCA. “The bad news is that the person chose to dump them, overnight, in the rain and thought it was ok. We would like to identify the person so that we can at least find out what medical history they have on the animals. People need to stop thinking of animals like litter where they can just throw them out the door when they are done with them,” Waffner said. “An animal is a family member, friend and huge commitment and it cannot be taken lightly.”
