Madison County Sheriffs Arrest Flo's Diner ATM Robber

Canastota, N.Y. - A man has been arrested allegedly for breaking into an ATM machine at a popular diner in Canastota.

On the morning of January 11th, employees of Flo's diner on Route 31, showed up to find someone had broken into the ATM at the diner stealing its contents.

Video surveillance images led Madison County Sheriffs to 57 year old David Degrasse of West Warwick, Rhode Island.

He was already on the FBI's radar being sought for similar crimes across several states.

Degrasse is facing the following charges regarding the diner break-in:

  • Burglary in the 3rd degree (Class D Felony)
  • Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree – 2 counts (Class D Felony)
  • Criminal Mischief in the 2nd degree (Class D Felony)
  • Criminal Trespass in the 3rd degree (Class B Misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Burglar Tools (Class A Misdemeanor)
  • Criminal Tampering in the 2nd degree (Class A Misdemeanor)
  • Petit Larceny (Class A Misdemeanor)
  • Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree – (Class A Misdemeanor).
