UPDATE: Da'Lyn Whiteside 19 years old of Syracuse, has been identified as the missing driver in this incident. He has been arrested and is in the Justice Center, charged with Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Crash. Victim information is not available for release at this time as next of kin is still being conducted. The investigation is active and ongoing.
Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse police are investigating the death of a pedestrian in the North Valley:
It happened on East Glen Ave shortly after 6 Tuesday night about 1 block east of South Salina Street.
Syracuse police say a middle-aged man was hit by a car and shortly after, the victim was struck by a second vehicle while lying on the ground.
The second driver stayed and could not help save the man.
Officers say they are still looking for the driver of the first car.
