Syracuse, N.Y. - New York Attorney General Letitia James and Syracuse Police Chief Joseph Cecile announced a big drug bust Thursday.
31 people in Onondaga, Oswego, Cortland, Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties have been arrested and charged with 192 crimes related to drug trafficking and weapons offenses in connection with two major drug trafficking networks that were distributing fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, and cocaine.
The bust lead to the seizure of more than over $300,000 worth of fentanyl or fentanyl heroin mix, nearly a pound of methamphetamine, about a half a pound of cocaine, over $16,000 dollars in drug money, illegal firearms, and two vehicles
Syracuse Police Chief Joseph Cecile said “Thirty-one subjects thought they could peddle their poison of fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine on the streets of Syracuse and across five counties with impunity. They were wrong."

The 31 individuals who were charged with various crimes in relation to their involvement in the narcotics trafficking operation, that include various counts of Criminal Sale and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (class A, B, and C felonies), and Conspiracy to commit those crimes, as well as the charges related to the shooting on West Newell Street include:
