Oswego County Reports Finding West Nile In Two Separate Mosquito Pools

Oswego, N.Y. - Oswego County Health Department reporting they have found West Nile Virus in two mosquito pools. One was collected from the town of Albion and the other from the town of West Monroe.

This comes as Onondaga County plans to spray for mosquitos in the Cicero Swamp area Thursday night after 6:30.

People are advised to limit their outdoor activities as much as possible, especially from dusk to dawn when mosquitoes tend to be most active.

Those who go outdoors should consider using insect repellents and, whenever practical, wearing long sleeve shirts, long pants and socks.
