UPDATE: Madison County Sheriff’s Office has identified, the man who died from his injuries due to the lightning strike as Lauro Zhunaula Saca, from Middletown, NY. The two other individuals injured were Ronaldo Zhunaula (25-years-old) and Wilfrido Zhingre (35-years-old). All three were working with “The Roofing Guys” roofing company. Ronaldo and Lauro are brothers.
Town of Lincoln, N.Y. - A lightening strike that occurred yesterday in the Town of Lincoln has now turned fatal.
Yesterday afternoon, three men were working on a roof on Forbes Rd., when a storm came up and they sheltered under a tree, near a flag pole, where they were struck by lightening.
Two suffered minor injuries but the third a 39 year old was unconscious and not breathing when Madison County Sheriffs arrived.
Deputies were able to revive the man and he was rushed to the hospital where he later died.
The victims name has not been released.
