State Police Looking Into Credit Card Skimmer Found At Fulton Wal-Mart

Town of Granby, N.Y. - New York State Police investigating the discovery of a credit card skimmer at the Fulton Walmart:

Troopers say it was on a self-checkout register at the Walmart on County Route 3, inn the Town of Granby

The device was placed on the checkout Sunday July 2nd but not found by Walmart staff until the Wednesday the 5th.

Anyone with disputed charges should contact the New York State Police, Fulton barracks 315-598-2112.

State Police explain that a card skimmer is a device illegally installed on ATMs, point-of-sale (POS) terminals, or fuel pumps to capture data or record cardholders’ PINs. Criminals then use that data to create fake debit or credit cards and steal from victims’ accounts.
