Albany, N.Y. - New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and State Health department have issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the Eastern Lake Ontario, Central New York and Western New York regions for tomorrow (today). The Air quality is forecasted to reach ‘Unhealthy’.
The pollutant of concern is "Fine Particulate Matter" contained in the smoke that's coming once again from Canadian Wildfires.
Exposure can cause short-term health effects such as irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat, coughing, sneezing, runny nose, and shortness of breath.
Air quality is forecasted to reach ‘Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups’ AQI levels on Wednesday in Central New York and Eastern Lake Ontario regions.

The advisory will be in effect from Midnight Tuesday through 11:59 pm Wednesday.
