Liverpool Man Arrested After Driving Stolen Vehicle Through Bus Stop

Syracuse, N.Y. - A Liverpool man was arrested after driving a Jeep through a Centro Bus Shelter while people were waiting for a bus.

Yesterday afternoon in the 300 block of Burt St. Syracuse police spotted a stolen Jeep driving toward them. As they tried to stop the vehicle 20 year old Ejarias Burgin put it in reverse and began speeding away. He loss control ran over a curve, crashed through the Bus Shelter and finally slammed into a tree.

Three people were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Burgin face several charges.

  • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property Fourth Degree
  • Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle Third Degree
  • Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree
