Dewitt, N.Y. - Dewitt Police have identified the man who was shot in the parking lot of a hotel Tuesday night.
Around 9:20 police responded to the Best Western Plus on Old Collamer Road for a shooting.
They found 39 year old Paul Washington Jr. of New York City suffering from a wound to his upper torso. Police began life saving measures.
Washington was rushed to the hospital where he died.
Police say he has connections to Syracuse.
They continue to search for the shooter
