Local Heath Food Store, Nature-Tyme Announces It's Closing

Syracuse, N.Y. - A local business that's been around for 40 years, Nature-Tyme, has announced they are closing.

Owners Wendy Meyerson and Andrew Fox made the announcement that they are closing today.

The store has been located on Erie Blvd in Dewitt for several years. It was originally on Charles Avenue on the west side of Syracuse. Wendy Meyerson purchased the store from her father, Stan, in 2001. In 2002, Wendy relocated Natur-Tyme to Bridge Street in East Syracuse.

They said they will remain open for a couple of months as they sell off their remaining inventory.

They blame ongoing changes in consumer behavior accentuated by the Pandemic and rising operational costs that have reduced revenue to the store and led to what they called "insurmountable financial losses."

Wendy Myerson was a longtime host of a weekend show on Newsradio 570 WSYR.
