Hastings, N.Y. - Oswego County Sheriffs have arrested a Hastings Man for sending an receiving child abuse materials.
Suspicious online activity, led Deputies to the home of 30-year-old Jared August.
August had created a fake online account using the name and photos of another person.
He pretended to be that person, sharing pictures of their children offering to sell them for sex.
Deputies say they don't believe August ever had contact with the children pr even tried to.
He faces 8 counts of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child and one count of Identity Theft.
He was arraigned in Oswego County CAP Court and remanded to Oswego County Jail on $15,000 cash bail or $35,000 bond.
