Town of Onondaga, N.Y. - One suspect is dead, another under arrest after burglaries and a chase around the county.
Deputies say they were investigating a burglary report on Majors Drive in the Town of Onondaga a little before midnight when two cars sped off.
One ended up crashing into a tree and rolling on East Seneca Turnpike. The driver was ejected and pronounced dead on scene by paramedics.
With help from a police helicopter they were able to follow the other vehicle to a dead-end street on Onondaga Nation Territory. Two suspects fled on foot and one, a male juvenile, was caught.
Both vehicles had been stolen in another residential burglary on Broad Road.
