Prestige Limo Owner Will Go To Trial After Plea Deal Rejected By Judge

Schoharie, N.Y. - The only man convicted in that fatal Schoharie Limo crash in 2018 has had his plea deal rejected and now he will go to trial.

In a major surprise Judge Peter Lynch rejected the plea deal for Nauman Hussain the owner of Prestige Limo.

The deal would have allowed Hussain to avoid jail and only serve 4 years probation.

The judge wanted him to serve 4 years. in jail instead. The judges decision brought about applause from the victims families in the courtroom.

The defense withdrew the plea, the judge accepted and now there will be a trial likely December 5th.

20 people died, including a SUNY Oswego Professor who was in the path of the out of control limo, when the brakes failed and it went careening through a parking lot and down a ravine.
