UPDATE: The female victim of the Lafayette crash has been identified as 49-year-old Allyse Daly of Lafayette. The male victim involved in the crash on Route 11A has been identified as 59-year-old Lawrence Sullivan of the Onondaga Nation. The investigation into both crashes continue.
Syracuse, N.Y. - It was a deadly day Wednesday on Onondaga County roads
Sheriffs Deputies say last night around 6:40, a 49 year old woman, speeding on Apulia Road, came upon a downed tree that was partially blocking her lane. She swerved to avoid it lost control and struck a large tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Around 10:30 on Route 11a on the Onondaga Nation, Deputies say a 59 year old man was traveling northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve drove off the road and slammed into a telephone pole and then a tree. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
