Two From Rochester Arrested For Stealing Catalytic Converters In Cicero

Cicero, N.Y. - State Police have arrested two after they were caught stealing catalytic converters.

Troopers say 25 year old Brittany Hollaert, and 31 year old Vasiliy Maksimchuk, both from Rochester stole 17 catalytic converters from vehicles that were parked at Driver’s Village Auto in Cicero.

The total amount of damage to the vehicles is estimated to be over $50,000.

Both suspects were also involved in similar thefts throughout the Rochester area.

The two face the following charges:

  • Grand Larceny 2nd degree, class “C” felony
  • Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, a class “D” felony
  • Auto Stripping 1st degree, a class “D” felony
  • Conspiracy 4th degree, a class “E” felony

Hollaert was arraigned and issued appearance tickets to appear in the town of Cicero Court.

Maksimchuk was taken to the Onondaga County Justice Center.
