Wife Of Civil Deputy Who Shot Her, Killed His Son And Himself, Arrested

Syracuse, N.Y. - Back in February off duty Civil Deputy Isaac Eames shot his wife, Karen, and his son Troy before shooting himself inside their Brewerton home. Eames and his son both died.

Today Onondaga County Sheriffs announced they arrested Karen.

Onondaga County Sheriff Gene Conway says Eames ands his wife were stealing money through his position as a civil deputy and overseeing a civil account . Conway said of Eames, " He's a murderer. He's a thief and he's a selfish person."

Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick said, there were about 13 transfers to a personal account totaling about $529,165. The stolen money was spent on gambling, real estate, and travel.

Sheriff Conway said that Karen told them that just before her husband shot her all he said was " this has to happen".

Karen Eames is charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
